This was a State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources project for an extensive topographic survey. The project was to add a new transmission main and replace existing distribution mains. The replaced distribution mains will require reconnection of water meters at the existing cabins. The project also included outfitting an existing exploratory well near Camp Sloggett. Additional work was for the improvements to the Wailua River State Park. We topographically surveyed from the highway for new waterline connections to the County system all the way to Smiths Tropical Paradise. The area was also in the floodway so we needed to get approvals for Special Management Area and Army permits. We provided the elevations of the surrounding area for our client to show the floodway and flood zone based on the FIRM elevations.
